The 2021 SAMERC competitions were held before a public audience at Terramin Angas Zinc Mine & Processing Facility, Strathalbyn. The events were held over the 3 days with more than 100 people, with six rescue teams competing from mines in Far North SA including Prominent Hill, Olympic Dam Team 1 & Team 2, and Carrapateena Mine, SIMEC Mining from Whyalla, and from NSW, Cadia Valley Gold Mine.

Congratulations to the Cadia Valley team who won the overall perpetual trophy with winning three out of eight scenarios outright. With an overall score of 78%.
