The South Australian Mines Emergency Response Competition (SAMERC) is designed to test the skills and knowledge of teams who may be called upon to respond to mine site emergencies. SAMERC focuses on creating realistic, high-pressure scenarios that give emergency services personnel, particularly those who are new to the role, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. These events aim to build confidence, develop capability, and strengthen the practical skills required to manage real-life mine emergencies.
