The SA Mines Emergency Response Competition showed lifesaving rescue skills: Overall Winners Cadia Valley NSW.
Teams of mine industry Emergency Services personnel from across SA and NSW faced realistic emergency scenarios at the SA Mines Emergency Response Competition at Carrapateena Mine in South Australia, on the weekend of 14-16th October 2022.
The event involved more than 100 people, with five rescue teams competing from mines in Far North SA including Carrapateena, Prominent Hill, Olympic Dam and SIMEC Mining from Whyalla, and from NSW, Cadia Valley Gold Mine. Over 35 volunteers performed the roles of adjudicators and casualties.
